FAVI L1918A-V-BL 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built in DVD Player/Card Reader/USB, Jet Black Review

I bought this TV as a gift for my gadgety-loving significant other to replace the use of our laptops to watch movies on when we go to bed Our DVD collection is a random mix of UK, US, digital copies of movies on flash drives, and Ecuadorian (mostly ‘no region coded’) DVDs – it plays everything without a problem! The TV is used as a bedroom TV as we put on movies before we go to sleep, so the features that we use have been: movies, music, and pictures from a flash drive or dvds and the sleep timer…we don’t use it to watch TV so I cannot comment upon that (other than that we plugged it in once and it seemed fine). The picture is great, it reads the flash drive quickly and the menus are easy to navigate. The remote covers all of the things we need – ie changing subtitles, audio tracks, sleep timer, etc. The one con – the sound is quiet! This is not a problem for us since we use it on its lowest volumes anyway, but to use this as a regular TV without external speakers would be difficult because it is quiet.
This was the ONLY 19″ flatscreen with a built-in multi-region dvd player and other media player that met our needs, and I’m quite happy with it for the price! If the sound was better, I would give it 5 stars.

With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.
If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.
- Minimum size = Viewing distance/3
- Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

Perfect for what I wanted – Theresa Mandoza –
I wanted a TV with built in DVD for the kitchen. Never heard of this brand but the price was right. I’ve had it for a few months and I’m happy with it. Picture is fine, DVD works, remote works. I wouldn’t want it for a primary tv. For having in the kitchen and watching morning news, TV or part of a movie while I’m getting dinner going or cleaning up, it’s perfect.
Yes and no – J. Berger – USA
UPDATE: Five months later, predictably, the DVD player had died…
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this TV for my office and for certain specific features, including most importantly the ability to play PAL video (I work in television and need cross-compatibility). Because of this feature, I’m keeping the TV but if I had bought it for an entertainment machine, I would probably have returned it.
The best thing about this TV/DVD combo is that it accepts numerous inputs, including VGA and other video ports, USB and flash cards and the aforementioned PAL DVDs. These were a selling point for me, however, the PAL playback is the only feature that has worked without a hitch.
* The VGA works adequately but the TV sometimes doesn’t recognize the computer — I have to turn the TV off and on, or switch inputs multiple times before the VGA shows up. The computer recognizes the TV adequately as a plug and play device but I found no drivers or firmware updates available on the Web site support section to help make the whole thing work smoother. VGA display is soft, as you would expect with a TV. Text is readable but not crisp. Streaming on Netflix via WMC looked terrible on my first try. I am considering trying a lower resolution.
* Using a USB stick I tried various types of files. JPGs looked unacceptably jaggy — far worse than the same images on my computer monitor or a DVD picture frame; I would never use this for a digital photo frame unless it looks better reading from a CD. I tried playing AVIs, MPEGs and WMV video. Few of the files were recognized and none played. This was a real disappointment as I had looked forward to this feature. Interface for reading from the card was about the industry standard, which is to say not pretty or terribly intuitive but you can basically get it to work.
* TV display is adequate depending on input. The display does fairly well with SD video, however HD was slightly distorted by the TV’s 16:10 aspect ratio. While you can adjust zoom on the DVD player, it doesn’t work with the TV input and there is no control for aspect ratio. This also means you can’t pillarbox SD images, but here the 16:10 ratio works in your favor and the picture looks fine.
HD was crisp at times, and heavily pixelated at other times, with identical clips looking fine on my Samsung 32 inch TV (i.e., it’s the TV not the source file). Native HD through the cable connection and tuner was superior to HDMI, which was noticably pixelated at times. This is on my desk, so I am sitting close, but even allowing for this, the display needs work. Unfortunately, less than half the channels on my cable system were recognized through the onboard tuner and only the local stations were in HD, so HDMI from the cable box appears to be my best option if I want to view in HD.
* Sound is fine, if unremarkable.
* Menus are clunky, but very few TVs have smooth and easy controls. They’re comparable to the industry standards but not a selling point.
If I were only interested in having a nice looking TV/DVD combo, especially if it were for pleasure use, there are better models priced lower. But for the PAL functionality, and since the main use for the TV is a combination monitor/office news TV, I’ll probably keep it, with reservations. But buyers should be aware of the model’s limitations.
One other plus: I had a query to FAVI about Amazon’s shipping estimate. I got an instant response and follow-up within a couple of hours, so big points for service.
You get what you pay for – mbratch –
This is an inexpensive integrated DVD and 19-inch LCD HDTV. So I wasn’t expecting the best quality. I am rating this product based upon absolute quality perceptions.
With default “middle” settings, the colors are washed out and too bright. Also, faces appear a little too pink. I fiddled with the brightness, contrast, color and tint settings and found a reasonable compromise. Not great but OK.
The volume of the TV and DVD are quite different. The DVD at 100% is about the same as the TV at 50%. When on my treadmill I have the TV set at about 80% (turning it up any further seems to have little additional increase in perceived volume). It’s just barely enough to hear. The DVD is hopeless even at 100% and will not overcome the volume of the treadmill at all. This issue is common for sets of this size, so I wouldn’t consider this a unique issue.
I guess my next stop is to get headphones and a long adaptor cable to connect them. Meanwhile, I turned on subtitles.
I have only had this set for 2 weeks or so, so I cannot speak to reliability. So far, so good.
Functionally I don’t like the way the DVD works versus the TV. It would be nice if I could bounce between the two at whim and pick up where I left off. Unfortunately, switching to a non-DVD function basically turns off the DVD completely, so when you come back to it, you are starting over and have to scan your way back to where you think you left off.
Channel switching with digital channels is an issue. This works OK but sometimes there’s a delay. It works best in analog channels, with fairly little delay. But in digital channels it can get really fussy. You go up channel by one and you can wait a few seconds before you finally get signal. If there is no signal, or not a perceivable one, switching to the next good channel or typing it in can take forever. A solid minute before the set becomes responsive. Pretty bad. Not sure what causes that.
Finally, for aesthetics, I would prefer the cable connect below rather than the side. Coax cables are fairly stiff and need room to bend, so it looks rather ugly hanging out the side of the TV to give it room to make it’s way around.

Orion / Sansui will not stand behind their product – Chick Daniels – Virginia Beach, VA
Less than two years ago, I bought an Orion/Sansui TV. Less than a year later, it blew up. Was under warrantee, so they had to pay for it’s repair. The digital board was shot among other things. Now less than a year after that, it blew up again. Called Orion assuming that the replacement parts from less than a year ago would also be under the same 1 year warrantee, but was shocked to discover they only put a 90 day warrantee on their replacement parts. So I told the lady very nicely that she could at least pay the to have my set looked at by the repair shop and she wouldn’t do it. So I told her they were gonna lose one way or the other. I obviously bought a lemon, and they wouldn’t stand behind their product, nor their parts. I told her she could help me out, or with my remaining 30 or 40 years on this planet I would tell everyone I know to NOT BUY ANY ELECTRONICS FROM ORION. I assured her that I would be certain to persuade enough people to not buy their product that they would be worse off than standing behind their product now. She chose this route:
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ORION. IT IS JUNK, and they will NOT stand behind their product.

LG 47LE5400 47-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED LCD HDTV Review

This is my first HDTV, but not even close to my first LG product. Somehow LG has been able to offer products as good, if not better, than other “more popular” brands without breaking the bank. Set up was a breeze and the picture is outstanding. I had to play around with the “TruMotion” setting because when it’s on, watching a movie was like being on the set, it looked too realistic. I have figured out that it’s great for watching live news and sporting events, otherwise, just turn it off. The NetCast and Widget features are awesome, as well as the customizable picture and sound outputs.
I did, however, encounter one problem. When I finshed setting up the tv, I noticed that on the bottom left corner (only when up close on my hands and knees) there is what seems to be “stress fracture” on the plastic frame.(It’s not really cracked, the clear plastic just turned a little white). It is so slight and doesn’t affect the picture what so ever, that it didn’t seem worth my effort to repackage, return, reorder, and be without a tv for another week and a half, so I just left it alone. I have no regrets, the tv is spectacular.

Nice Picture – W. Wilson – Ft. Worth, TX
THe LED is by far the BEST contrast of any HDTV we have owened. This TV replaced an LG 44 inch DLP TV, which during it’s time, was a pretty awesome picture, but like in all happenings, things change. The only con we have is:
The speakers system on this TV is worthless. The TV comes with the ability to override background noise and bring the voice of the program/movie to the front of everything else, however the speakers are not good at all. After you get above 50 on the volume control, it goes to 100, everything is distorted, the speakers even vibrate. A surround sound system really brings out the true excellance of this unit. It was a good deal for an entry level LED at under 00.00.
Tweaking necessary – Ian Oldfield – Houston, Tx, US
I gave this TV four stars in order to to give it the benefit of the doubt before passing judgement. At this point, I have been unable to get happy with the picture. I found it much easier to tweak my 40 inch samsung LCD.
To me the images, on the LG, look slightly blurry and out of focus. The colors also look fairly unrealistic. This being said, I recognize that it is quite posible that the TV can be calibrated to deliver a high quality picture.
If anyone feels comfortable sharing some of their specific settings, It would be greatly appreciated.
Great TV – Chansamone Knight – Suitland, MD USA
I’ve been looking for months for LED Tv. I have looked at LG, Samsung and some of the other brands. But finally, I decided to buy this tv. The LG 47Le5400 47-inch 1080p 120Hz Led Lcd Hdtv is a big tv. The pictures, colors and sound are great. It’s very thin and lite weight. For this tv, the only thing you have to put together is the stand and that was easy to do. I love this TV. Before I bought this tv, I also looked at some of the Samsung led tv. I didn’t like the colors. It’s make the people seem like video game and the colors are too bright. I also read some of the reviews on them and the problems people have. That just turn me off.

FAVI L4226EA-WH 42-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV, White Review

Love it. First saw the TV in an email from Amazon. Initially ignored, as I tend to steer clear of such “too good to be true” offers, but I kept going back to this offer, and finally went for it and purchased the white model. I’m so glad I did. TV picture is crystal clear and a joy to watch. Audio is clear. Setup in about 2 minutes flat. Super narrow profile, and lightweight, and looks good too. Have not found the code for the FAVI brand yet to program into my universal remote, so I am using 2 remote controls. And everyone who has seen it (frequent visitor traffic through living room to my son’s room) stops and remarks “Good looking TV. Great picture.”

A full HD TV conforms to the 1080p progressive format which produces the ultimate resolution for high def televisions. It is commonly written that the 1080p format is underutilized because of the lack if media that uses it and that the 1080p format is not beneficial to smaller screens and only benefits large screens. Both facts are not entirely true.
1080 ‘p’ and ‘i’ both have a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels / raster. This is another fact that turns another popular misconception on its head in that the progressive scanning method has a better resolution than interlaced, they are both the same. To further illustrate this point both have 1920 pixels across 1080 horizontal rows in total.
To truly understand the operational difference of the interlaced and progressive methods of scanning, their operation must be broken down relative to time.
With true or native 1080 interlaced televisions the images displayed are refreshed 60 times every second or at a rate of 60Hz. With 1080i however only alternate rows are re-sampled for each interval. That is, the odd rows and then the even rows are refreshed on successive samples, you can deduce from this that two cycles are required to refresh all rows.
Due to the alternate row method that interlaced scanning uses the images can suffer a negative effect that is called jitter, where by images that move across the screen are jagged because the lines of pixels do not match.
Where the 1080p scanning method differs when compared to interlaced is that all 1080 rows of pixels are re-sampled at the 60 Hz rate.
If 1080i format is being input how can a 1080p television improve the situation? When using a 1080p capable television to display a 1080i signal it does what is called de-interlacing.
Using this method the images input are processed and the areas that contain movement are inter-polated and the areas that lack movement are combined. To describe the result the parts of the images that contained movement and were interpolated are the only parts that contain loss of detail, the static parts are not.
This is the method that a Full HD TV uses to display 1080i formats.

Toshiba REGZA Cinema Series 55SV670U 55-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with LED Backlight and ClearScan 240, Black Review

Puchased this from Beach for 1,575, no tax free ship, best deal I have seen. Slow start to the order process but once picked up by Manna, very smooth process, delivered by two men, unboxed, inspected, they lifted it out for me. Got it hooked up and everything synced.
I have been reading prof and user reviews for weeks on this thing. Nearly spent more on a plasma but I felt I needed a bright screen due to this going into a bright room. The room area as bordered by the seating is around 13′ x 14′, with the main couch looking straight on from around 13′ feet away and a loveseat at about a 45 degree angle x 8 feet away from the screen center. The 55″ seems perfect for this space. This room flows into the kitchen area and from the kitchen table 18-20 feet away the picture is still awesome.
I compared to side-lit models and felt this screen with full backlight provided better uniformity, especially after scene changes. It seemed to me that the thinner, side-lit models took an extra second for the brightness to become uniform..I have not noticed that on this screen, scene changes even from dark to light and vice-versa seemed to adjust instantly.
I was concerned about the reflective screen as there are many windows, when the TV is off you can see everything, when on the brightness overcomes any reflection. My other concern was over viewing angle. I see no distortion, loss of color or brightness from over 60 degrees off front dead center(total 120 degree field of view) which more than covers where anyone could view this tv in my room. I spent a whopping 5 mins playing with settings and still get the “wow” factor, given time I will take a more scientific approach with the settings. This is a beautiful TV and I could not even imagine why anyone would spend an additional 1,000 to 2,000 dollars for some percieved big difference in picture quality.
I am convinced that generally, people use review forums to complain about problems, and most people do not take the time to write about good experiences. So, when you read 100 reviews you might see 20% average or poor reviews thinking 1 in 5 are unhappy, but in reality those that are happy dont bother, so, the actual % who are happy/satisfied I would bet are in the 95% range. This is true with anything you might buy.
Went to BB and a couple of other retails to see this against other models. At first I did not even look at prices, as I wanted to focus on pic quality. I did not seen anything I thought looked better.
After exhaustive review reading I do understand that a prof reviewers job it to point out flaws. CNET must have 100,000 dollars in meters, software, and gizmos to evaluate a tv screen. If you read their reviews I am not sure I feel comfortable buying anything. The flaws pointed out on this TV simply cant been seen by me, a person with high expectations and 20/20 vision at least while I wear my glasses. Maybe if you put their ,000 top pick right next to this TV I could be convinced I could be 10% happier, but for the average consumer its just not worth rediculous money. Two neighbors have walked in over the last couple days and stopped dead in their tracks looking at this picture. Sports are fluid in movement and it feels like the puck or basketball is on its way towards me on the couch.
All in all could not be happier with this TV.

Awesome TV! – Maverik –
This set replaced an ageing 62″ Toshiba DLP HDTV which has served me well for several years. Before buying it however, I did the research, read the reviews, and checked them out in the stores. I eliminated Plasma’s because IMHO, they look dull, dim, and boring. The only thing they have going for them is their blacks. Their whites look dirty.
So, plasma’s were out. Looked at LCD and LED sets from Samsung, Sony, and LG. Samsung, I will never buy Samsung products again. Their customer service sucks. I tried getting a 24″ monitor (only a year old) repaired under warranty and they won’t repair it, what they will do is keep sending you refurbished replacements that are in worse shape then what you sent them to be repaired. So, I’m done with Samsung. Sony is cool but very expensive and LG wasn’t up there.
So, the Toshiba’s picture quality and features are unbelievable. Not only does this set have those inky blacks that plasmas are known for, it has the brightest, cleanest whites you’ll ever see. I am so glad I purchased this set over any other. Out of the box, the picture is amazing. And there is so much stuff to tweak to get an awesome picture. The screen is beautiful, the picture quality is amazing, and there’s enough inputs to satisfy anyone.
The delivery was perfect. Pilot did an excellent job and the TV arrived in perfect condition. All in all, this set is a steal for what you’re getting. And as always, Amazon is great!

Great picture, good value – Bruce Bussert – Stillwater, NY
After reading a few reviews, I opted to purchase the TV from Amazon. The back lighted, LED feature with local dimming was the one feature that I really wanted. Every manufacturer is going to LED lighting, but those are mostly edge-lit LED and don’t have local dimming. Plus I have other Toshiba products and have been pleased with the reliability. The price seemed like a bargain compared to other TV’s with similar features.
The TV came in about a week. The trucking company offered to bring it inside, unpack it and make sure it worked, but being an engineer, I shooed them away and did it myself, with my son. Unpacking was easy. After removing a few plastic gadgets from the bottom of the shipping carton, it lifts right off.
The TV worked great when first plugged in. (Had to move the 2 year old 40″ SONY to the basement). The picture is absolutely stunning – turn on ESPN Sportscenter with their new color schemes and you will be amazed- absolutely floored. The change in brightness from the older SONY to the new Toshiba was like night and day. The colors just jump off the screen, and the blacks were black black black. I haven’t noticed any blooming like a few others have reported, and if the local dimming causes a few stars to disappear in a space scene, I haven’t noticed that, either. One of the first blu-ray movies I watched was the Fifth Element – absolutely breathtaking, even if I was watching it in 1080i (colorstream connection, since we didn’t have enough HDMI cables around).
Are there some things I don’t like? Yes. For one, the TV is really thick compared to other LCD’s, about 4.5″ I’d say (without looking it up). And the picture does fade (loses contrast) if you go move than about 30 degrees off dead straight looking at it. That’s OK for me, I’ve got a big room and sit about 16′ from the screen. (With the 40″ TV, you can’t really appreciate the hi-def from that distance, no one’s eyes are that good!). The sound from the built in speakers is just adequate (they apparently point straight down out the bottom of the unit), but I’ve got a surround system for when it counts.
I mounted it on the wall – easy to remove the base and convert to a wall mount. I purchased a tilting type mount, not because I want to tilt it but because the stand off distance was a little more and the back inputs are not recessed very much. And due to a quirk of the SA 5300 DVR Time Warner gave me (if you use HDMI, the output to your sound system will be only 2 channel unless you switch the DVR to digital sound instead of HDMI, but then you don’t get any sound from the TV), I have to use the bulkier colorstream cables with the cable box.
I was a little torn when I made the decision to purchase. Should I get a new 3D or opt for year old technology with a good value. I opted to wait a couple of more years for 3D, and I’m glad I made the decision.
TOSHIBA 55SV67OU – WOODY –
ALL I CAN SAY THAT THIS TV IS AWESOME THE BEST HD PICTURE I HAVE EVER SEEN,TAKES A LITTLE TIME TO GET IT CALIBRATED,BUT GO TO [...] AND SELECT THIS MODEL ITS A GOOD STARTING POINT.I DID HAVE A LITTLE TROUBLE WITH MY OLD HD CABLE BOX,SO I CALLED TOSHIBA AND THE TEC TOLD ME TO UPGRADE THE BOX TO A NEWER ONE WITH HDMI OUTPUTS THAT TOOK CARE OF THAT.
DON’T KNOW TO MUCH ABOUT THE SOUND AS I RUN THE TV THROUGH MY 5:1 A/V RECEIVER
I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TV TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A LED BACKLITE TV
AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT FROM AMAZON 1559.00 WITH FREE SHIPPING.

Before shopping for an HDTV for your home, it is a good idea to read HDTV reviews first. This is especially true if you are shopping online and cannot view or try out the actual models, since reading HDTV reviews helps you get a clear picture of what you’re in for.
Types of HDTV Reviews
There are two basic types of reviews, regardless of the product. The first is called an expert review. This is a review done by someone who has a lot of knowledge about the product. For example, an HDTV expert review may be done by someone who professionally calibrates HDTVs or someone who has studied electronics and know fully well how HDTVs are manufactured and how they work. An expert review is usually written after the reviewer personally tests the product, and provides an overview of the product features and performance. Many are written in simple terms. However, you may find some of them a bit too technical.
The second type is called a user review, sometimes called a testimonial. This is written by people who have actually bought the product and tried it out. Although user reviews are not as comprehensive as expert reviews, they are just as helpful and can be even more so, since they sometimes provide additional information such as the product’s warranty, its shipping and handling and any money back guarantees that come with it, giving you a more realistic image of what to expect.
Some reviews are also in-depth while others provide just a glance of the product or just the top features of the product. Some also come with ratings in the form of stars to help you better understand how good the HDTV is, although the criteria for judging the HDTV varies per site or reviewer.
Why are High Definition TV Reviews Important?
No matter what type the review may be, it can provide helpful information which you can use when you go shopping for your HDTV. For one, it can help you determine whether a certain model really is good or not. After all, not all HDTVs perform well. If an HDTV does not perform well, the salesperson or the site that sells it won’t really say so but you, of course, will be able to know better if you’ve read the reviews.
HDTV reviews can also help you differentiate various models, even those belonging to the same brand or the same series, making them easier to compare. Sometimes, these differences are not too obvious, like an extra input or a non-swiveling stand, but they can still be important, which is why you should know each small one.
Finally, HDTV reviews can lead you to the right type of HDTV you want. Although an HDTV is considered a great or popular models, it may not necessarily have the design or the features you are looking for, which means you might end up getting disappointed just the same. However, if you read reviews beforehand, you will be able to skip the models that don’t suit your taste and narrow down your choices to the ones you really want.
Of course, you have to pick the HDTV reviews you read to get the most help in choosing an HDTV. For example, you should read credible and objective expert and user reviews to make sure they are accurate. Also, remember that HDTV reviews are only a guide. In the end, you will be the one making the decision, though you’ll surely be able to make a wiser one from what you’ve read.

LG 32LD350 32-Inch 720p 60 Hz LCD HDTV Review

This is the first LCD TV I’ve bought so I did a tone of research before finally settling on this unit.
Things I love about this TV:
-The backlight on this thing turns way up so you don’t have to worry about having dark scenes like in Interview with the vampire you can’t see. The wide viewing angle is also great.
-On the quick menu you can easily change the sound between Music and Cinema and I can actually hear the difference. Yes they are tv speakers not surround sound but for my studio apartment it is more then adequate.
-I noticed I was getting a little noise on the sound when I had the Clear Voice on but totally fixed it when I put the Auto Volume option on in the audio main menu.
-I keep the tv on a lot for music during the day since I work from home and there is this great button on the remote labeled energy where you can quickly adjust from 100% which is the best for viewing to maximum energy saving. I like this not only for the energy savings but also to save the back light from 100% constant use.
-I noticed that one of my shows off of my Roku (digital box that streams netflix) wasn’t HD and the picture wasn’t looking to hot. I adjusted on the picture main menu the aspect ratio to Just Scan and it actually cleaned it up really nicely. This is important, several of my friends have really ritzy tv set ups but if it’s not HD the picture is almost unbearable. This one you can watch older movies/tv shows and HD without having to fiddle with everything to get a good picture.
-Overall picture quality can be adjusted by so many advanced options that if you play with it I’m sure you can get exactly what you want.
-I know it is 720 versus 1080 but at this price range when I looked at the specs if you go for 1080 it seems that you will get dark spots in dark scenes and it’s refresh rate will be so low that you will notice it in quick scenes plus the audio seemed unreliable. I think at this 32inch size 720 is really not that noticeable.
Very satisfied customer. Only complaint is you need 4 screws to attach the tv to it’s base and my baggy only came with 3 in it. Luckily the hardware store is right down the street so I was able to get something comparable instead of waiting for them to ship it.
Do your self a favor, get some good HDMI cables with noise reduction that can handle full HD (found some on amazon for like ). I haven’t experienced any blurring at all on this tv while watching movies/shows like others have commented about. Regular cables don’t cut it and you won’t want to wait when your tv arrives.
Happy Viewing

With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.
If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

Stunning Picture Quality – Shekhar – Philadelphia, PA
I bought this TV couple of months ago from Walmart. What a stunning picture quality it has. It stood out from all the TVs on display around it due to it’s vivid color and crisp picture. We bought it immediately and no regret. We love the picture quality. Sound quality is average as they say how it is in the flat TVs. Hence I bought a home theater system to complement it’s picture quality and now we have stunning picture with amazing sound. Watching TV/movies is more fun than ever. With the home theater system, the sound is now balanced and there is no shocking sound level increase during the commercials.
The remote is nice and I like the quick setup button which pops up a circular dialogue box on the TV with most frequently used settings.
It has two HDMI inputs altough some competition TVs have more than 2 HDMI inputs. It also features a digital optical audio out and number of other traditional connectors including VGA input so that you could use it as a monitor for your computer.

this is a fabulous tv…esp for the price i payed..it was for my husband as a gift for father’s day and i see him every night watching it…well worth it,,,,the seller was great…recieved it very quickly!
Picture shortcomings – A. B. Abelow –
After thoroughly researching the various 32″ offerings, I decided on an LG, 720 p. This is a bit of a disappointmnet, as the picture is not as sharp as I expected and the viewing from the side- tho done rarely- is quite faded and distorted. I also had great difficulty in attaching the screen portion to its base- the instructions are inadequate. Overall, I’m satisfied- but it should have been better for the price I paid.
